Libre 3 using mylife Loop (CamAPS FX) after 3 months with a child

Image
Since her diagnosis 4 years ago Emmie has always used a CGM.  With the news that mylife Loop was supporting the Freestyle Libre 3 CGM we decided to trial this latest technology.  We were blown away by the tiny size of the sensor and Emmie instantly loved the smaller device on her small arm. The sensor insertion is simple with no need to clip in/out a transmitter and with a simple scan of the phone on the sensor the 1 hour warm started (halving the 2 hour warmup time we were used to). The Freestyle Libre 3 provides readings every minute rather than every 5 minutes - reducing that wait for a reading to see the BG rise after a hypo treatment! Emmie being a very lean 5 year old has always had issues with compression lows during the night, often causing sensor errors and sensors not lasting their full 10 days.  With the smaller profile of this CGM it has eliminated the compression lows, resulting in sensors lasting beyond 10 days and onto the 14 days offered by the Freestyle L...

Setup 1 min BG readings to nightscout from CamAPS using Libre 3 (Proof of Concept)

THIS IS STRICTLY EXPERIMENTAL / PROOF OF CONCEPT - DO NOT USE ON YOUR PRIMARY NIGHTSCOUT SITE 1. Download "autonotification" and "tasker" apps from Play Store.  Purchase the app/use free trial with ads as you wish.  NOTE:  autonotification must be full app or running in trial mode as well as tasker otherwise notification interception will not work. 2.Open up tasker app, select the "Tasker" option (not Tasky) and allow all the permissions requested. 3. Open up autonifications app. 4. Under "Tasker Integration" select "Notification Interception" 5. Tap Enable "Notification Intercept" and switch the "AutoNotification" on. 6. Click the link here , it will open up the profile from Taskernet to import into Tasker 7.  Click "Import", Select "Yes" and then "Base". 8. When it asks if you want to enable right away say "No" If you want to test the notification interception concept and not...

Setup Dexcom username to use with xdrip+

Image
As mentioned in the setup CamAPS with xdrip+ setup guide here , if your Dexcom account uses an email address this does not seem to work with Dexcom Share Server Upload in xdrip+. As workaround it is possible to setup a Dexcom Dependent account which provides a username and not an email account. To setup follow the below. Step 1: Go to  https://www.dexcom.com/en-us/faqs/how-do-i-create-a-dependent-account   and follow how to setup a dependent account: Step 2: Setup followers for the newly created depenent account by following the steps here  on how to add additional followers.  Log into the Dexcom G6 app using a different phone to the one using CamAPS FX.  Make sure when logging into the G6 app use the newly created dependent account. You will need to invite any followers using the dependent account from the G6 app, even if you previously had before off the main account. Step 3: Followers will receive new emails requesting them to follow the dependent a...

Adding additional Dexcom Followers when using xdrip+:

Image
As mentioned in Note 1 of the CapAPS FX + xdrip+ setup post ( here ), it seems it is not possible to manage followers using the xdrip+ app. To add new followers this must be done from the original Dexcom app. You can install the Dexcom G6 App (not the follower app) on any phone to setup followers.   This should not be the phone where CamAPS FX is installed to avoid any conflict.   In the steps below it was done on an iPhone which is also acting as a follower. Step 1: Install Dexcom G6 app and login with the primary Dexcom account (same as clarity): Step 2: Click through all the steps (watch the start of the videos where required).  Allow any permissions when prompted. When asked for the sensor code say "No Code". When asked for the transmitter ID add a dummy ID such as  "710000". Note - 000000 in the picture below is invalid Step 3: You will see the transmitter is attempting to pair.  Now click the share option in the...

xDrip+ setup for use with CamAPS FX and Dexcom Share

Image
Disclaimer: The steps below are purely a setup guide based on other online resources and available applications.  Users use this guide at their own risk. Full xdrip+ Github page can be found here:   https://github.com/jamorham/xDrip-plus Using xdrip+ and the methods below should be used as an addition to the monitoring options provided by CamAPS FX - this is not an "official" and supported monitoring option and should not be depended on as the primary method for monitoring. NOTE 1: It seems its not possible to add followers from xdrip+, I never had to do this step as we already had followers setup from the dexcom app.  From reading in the xdrip Facebook group followers should be setup in the Dexcom apps before moving to xdrip (and in the case of this guide before moving to CamAPS). Update - new section added on how to add additional followers at the end or can be found here . NOTE  2: Some users seem to be having issues with using a Dexcom account that has a usern...
